Span Packaging Company History

1986 - Inception of Contract Packaging with sales to American Hospital Supply (Main Products were Hospital Disposables)

1988 - Installed Water System to generate Water meeting USP Purified Water Standards / Requirements - along with Compounding / Manufacturing / Mixing Capabilities

1991 - Started Span Care line of hospital disposables

1992 - Jim Ferguson (future Span CEO) takes over Contract Packaging and redefines mission. We will develop our business with consumer products companies

1995 - Les Teague becomes Director of Contract Packaging.

1997 - Late in year, Span CEO announces Span will sell Contract Packaging Division

1998 - In February, Les and Ian Simpson purchase company and rename it Span Contract Packaging.

1998 - In November, Span Contract Packaging operations move to a brand new facility on Dairy Drive. The facility was custom built for Span’s business.

1999- P&G’s Dryel product was launched. Span Contract Packaging added 11 new machines and 75 employees to support this launch.

2000 - 2003 - Span Contract Packaging grows to 250 employees by adding several globally recognized Drug & Medical Device companies

2003 - December - Cloud Packaging Solutions agrees to purchase Span Contract Packaging and renames the company Span Packaging Services

2008 - 2009 - Span Packaging Services continues to grow by adding more widely recognized pharmaceutical, drug, cosmetic, and virtual companies for new product development.

2010 - Cameron Holdings restructures packaging companies to support continued growth. As part of the restructuring, Span is rebranded as a Multi-Pack solutions company after Cloud Packaging is sold.
