Les Teague A 20-year Span veteran, Les Teague serves as president for Span Packaging Services, as well as president for Span’s sister companies, Automated Packaging and Multi-Pack, LLC. Formerly the owner of SPS, Les has worked in a variety of positions during his tenure and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company.
Through his guidance, revenues have increased ten-fold, and Span has become one of the world’s leading packaging firms. Originally from Greenville, SC, Les graduated from the University of Georgia, and earned his MBA from the Moore School of Business at University of South Carolina.
Joe Ervin is the Vice President and General Manager for Span Packaging Services. Joe joined Span in 2005 as the Operations Manager for the plant and has been a key player in the ongoing success of the business unit. Joe has 20 years of experience in Manufacturing including production, quality, supply chain, and distribution. His experience includes leading organizations that have been ISO and QS certified as well as FDA regulated. Prior to Span, Joe spent 15 years working with Milliken & Company, a global textile and chemical company. During this time, he held various positions in the organization while learning the Manufacturing Disciplines that have made him successful. Joe is a graduate of Virginia Tech.
Polly Thompson is VP of Quality for Span. As of 2008, Polly has accumulated a total of 25 years experience in Quality and Microbiology. The last 14 years have been spent leading and growing a solid, recognized Quality System at Span. Before joining Span, Polly began the first 11 years of her career with Bausch & Lomb, Sterile Lens Care Facility in Greenville, SC, in the Microbiology Lab and moved on to hold a variety of positions in the Quality Department. Polly also worked for Becton Dickinson as a Microbiologist and performed audits across the U.S. Polly joined Span in 1994 as QA Manager and became Director of Quality in 1998, when Span moved into their new facility. Polly is a graduate of Lander University in Greenwood, SC, with a major in Biology Education and minor in History.
Keith Wyatt is Director of Sales and Marketing. Keith joined Span in 1996 as buyer and over the past 12 years, has held a variety of progressively responsible roles in purchasing/materials, operations and customer service before taking over the Sales and Marketing function at Span in 2008. Prior to joining Span, Keith spent 2 ½ years as Quality Control Manager at Columbia Farms, a poultry processing facility located in Greenville SC, and 1 year as a Logistics Manager in a major auto parts retailer’s distribution facility. Keith has intimate knowledge of the operational and sales functions at Span.
Keith is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in Human Resource Management.
Lyndi Freund is the Director of Finance for Span. Lyndi just recently joined the team at the end of 2009. She started her career at Centex Homes, where she worked her way up to Controller for the Mid-Atlantic Division. In the role as Controller she directed functions for financial reporting, planning, financial controls, and strategic planning within the division. Before joining Span she was working for a local accounting firm, specializing in outsourced accounting. There she used her experience within the accounting industry to help multiple companies with their financial reporting and strategic planning. Lyndi graduated from Furman University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
Tonya Rogers serves as the Human Resources Manager for Span Packaging Services. Tonya has 10 years of experience implementing HR and Environmental, Health and Safety Programs in a manufacturing environment. Before joining Span, Tonya began her career in the automotive industry at Faurecia Interior Systems, a Tier One supplier to BMW and GM, as an Environmental Health and Safety professional. During her career at Faurecia, she executed an HSE program that improved worker safety, environmental compliance and employee awareness. She also led the successful implementation of an ISO 14001 environmental system. Tonya is a graduate of Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis in Environmental Science. She also holds an Associates Degree from Greenville Technical College in Greenville, South Carolina, in Hazardous Materials Technology.
